Mitch Rossow's Design Newsletter is an example of permission-based marketing; something I've been creating for several of my clients for a while now. If you'd like to subscribe, enter your email address in the box on the right.
The content of the newsletter changes from month to month, but this issue has a client spotlight about Joe Paquet.

Everyone likes something for free, so I've created a desktop pattern / wallpaper that you can download. Figure out what size of screen you hae and then click on the dimensions that you need to begin the download.
This image is of a corroding boxcar that I found at the Jackson Street Roundhouse Museum in St. Paul. I studied both sculpture and painting in school and was always interested in the differences of flat vs. dimensional images. Design is very flat and photography is usually dimesional, so I keep an eye out for chances to capture a surface that plays with this concept.
Put your paintings in the best light possible. I provide affordable glare-free oil painting photos, shot with a top-end Nikon and a lot of top-secret technology.
With advanced web design skills, commitment to color accuracy and dedication to expressing your vision, I can deliver the tools you need to find your future collectors.
