Client Spotlight Joe Paquet, Fine Art Landscape Painter
Joe and I have been working together for years; I was a student of his landscape oil painting studio in St. Paul before becoming his designer. What sets Joe apart as a mentor is his merciless dedication to your growth. He always knows what you need to work on at the moment, knows how to explain it for you and show you if necessary. Painters flock to watch him give a demonstration. Honestly, I learned more from him in a couple days than I did from years in art school. The website I created for Joe joepaquet.com accomplished several objectives: a showcase of his work, a listing of upcoming classes with info for the students and links to the galleries that represent him. My design is clean, clear, Google-friendly and supports the work. In other words, my goal is for you to notice the paintings, not the design. Since building Joe's site, I've been building quite a few sites for artists, you can see more of them here. Joe's passionate, knowledgeable style has helped me as a designer as
well; he asked me a few years ago to photograph his work.
Photographing oil paintings is very tricky, they glare like crazy have subtle color and fine brushwork. With Joe's patience and insight, I
came up with the right mix of equipment and technique. If you are an artist, consider having me photograph your artwork for you.Upcoming Event: Artist and the Creative Impulse, Joe Paquet
