Performing Arts Clients
The lively arts have specific design needs, specifically speed and clarity. A performance has a limited run; clear communication and a commitment to consistency are needed to get the message out to your audience and complete the call to action.
I've had many performing arts clients but the most notable is the Broadway Across America Tour. For three years I produced the print ads, ticket books and brochures for three markets, Minneapolis, Milwaukee and The Fox Cities. There were lots of deadlines, tight guidelines from the specific tours (like The Lion King, Mama Mia, Little Shop of Horrors) and lots of proofing. Working with them was wonderful and a great challenge, unfortunately in the spring of 2006, they reorganized and closed the local office, putting all the great people I worked with out of work and taking my projects back to New York. It was a great experience that improved my skills and got me some great seats for the shows!
