Paul Fricke

Cartoonist & Illustrator

Paul has been using pictures and words to tell stories since he was a kid, and professionally for more than 20 years. Employing a variety of cartooning styles, he has a passion for communicating ideas and concepts simply, quickly and in entertaining fashion.

He's co-created and self published his own comic book, drawn for a variety of comic book publishers, and has written and drawn comics for educational, historical and informational applications. He's drawn thousands of storyboards for broadcast television and his illustrations have appeared in an array of venues, both in print and on the web.

Many organizations and individuals have utilized Paul's skills to get across their message. Companies such as Best Buy, General Mills, Target, Pillsbury, 3M, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Famous Dave's and associations such as the National Kidney Foundation and the Center for Disease Control have tapped Paul as the artist for large projects to aid in informing people how to stay safe and healthy.

The Blue Moon Website

Paul wanted to be able to maintain the new site himself. The site was constructed based on his design, uses CSS, adheres to web standards and is very search-engine friendly.

Bluemoonstudios.com has a lot of content and tools reflecting Paul’s many talents:

  • An extensive portfolio gallery
  • A blog which is a draw for clients and friends and is great for search engine ranking
  • A store for his artwork and merchandise
  • A slide show of his work on the home page so potential clients can see a variety of portfolio images right away.

This site is an example of my flexibility as a web designer. Paul and I worked together to develop the design and I built the elements of the site with internal notes and directions so that he could add to it himself.
